The Roku Channel greenlights unscripted shows from Caravan, Entertainment One

Caravan’s Survival From Above takes place in Guyana

US AVoD outlet The Roku Channel has ordered a pair of unscripted originals from All3Media-owned prodco Caravan and Hasbro’s Entertainment One (eOne).

Caravan’s Survival From Above (8×60′) is a survival competition series set entirely in the rainforest treetops of Guyana, South America, with contestants suspended 100 feet from the ground.

Meanwhile, eOne’s Lincoln Log Project (8×60′, working title) is inspired by Hasbro’s iconic childhood toy collection of the same name and sees master builders take ordinary log cabin design to new heights.

The two series will premiere exclusively on The Roku Channel in 2023 and mark the company’s expansion into the adventure and exploration genres, having recently announced a number of other unscripted shows including The Great American Baking Show and To Paris for Love: A Reality Rom Com.

In related news, Roku – whose streaming technology parent has recently been the subject of Netflix takeover talk – has renewed its original adult-animated comedy Doomlands for a second season. The show came to Roku as part of its acquisition of library content from defunct shortform SVoD service Quibi.
