The Liberator’s Trioscope launches platform to license tech to content creators

Netflix’s Second World War story The Liberator

Trioscope, the US hybrid animation specialist behind series including Netflix’s The Liberator, has launched a platform to license its proprietary technology to third-party content creators.

The Trioscope platform offers a suite of production tools and software that combines human performance with computer-generated environments.

Trioscope said the platform enables creators to leverage more cost-effective and faster production operations relative to traditional high-end live-action productions with heavy CG.

London-based production house Oiffy and Poland-based BreakThru Films are the first to license the Trioscope platform for specific sequences in Alex Helfrecht’s 2024-slated epic love story A Winter’s Journey. Trioscope Europe will provide CG and VFX services for the film.

Trioscope has appointed Greg Mandel to the board of advisors for the platform’s business strategy, operations and expansion. Mandel previously served as chief operating officer at Technicolor’s global animation division Mikros Animation.
