Six more broadcasters in Europe and Australia have picked up Israeli format The Gran Plan, Tel Aviv-based Armoza Formats has confirmed.

ProSiebenSat.1 in Germany, 1+1 in Ukraine and Alpha TV in Greece were named by Armoza while the company also said undisclosed partners in Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, the UK, Ireland, France and Spain have also taken the format.

These deals follow an agreement for Scandinavia signed with Banijay-owned prodco Nordisk Film TV, announced at MipTV last week. The distributor said The Gran Plan now has deals in 20 territories.

The 60-minute format, originally made by Artza Productions in cooperation with Israel’s Channel 10, features grandmothers providing advice to younger generations, often with comic results.

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said the show “seems to have filled a very big need in the market with its ability to better people’s lives through a combination of humor and emotion, offering real comfort and a touch of nostalgia in these challenging times around the world.”
