The Floor reaches 30 markets with MBC in MENA and Nippon TV in Japan

The Nippon TV version of quizshow The Floor will be the first in Asia

MIPCOM: Talpa gameshow format The Floor has increased its worldwide reach to 30 adaptations with deals in the Middle East and Japan.

The latest sales include a new adaptation in the Middle East and North Africa region with MBC, which will air its version across 23 territories. Nippon TV will also bring the show to Japan, the first Asian adaptation of the show.

These agreements, announced on the first day of Mipcom here in Cannes, follow recent commissions in Eastern Europe and launches in key markets such as the UK, US, Australia and France.

In The Floor, 100 quiz fanatics face off in quiz duels on a giant LED floor divided into 100 equal squares, each representing its own field of knowledge. The goal is to conquer the entire floor and take home a cash prize.

Talpa has a production hub in The Netherlands from which 15 international versions have already been produced, while The Floor hubs are also up and running in the Baltics and Argentina.
