NEWS BRIEF: US broadcast network The CW has renewed both of its gameshow formats based on classic board games, Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble, for 30-episode second seasons.

Craig Ferguson joins Scrabble as the show’s new host, while LeVar Burton will return to host and executive produce Trivial Pursuit. Former Scrabble host Raven-Symoné (That’s So Raven) stays on board as an executive producer for S2. Both shows are produced by Hasbro Entertainment alongside Lionsgate Alternative Television, with Mattel Television Studios coproducing Scrabble.
