TF1 conjures up ghost series

Ghost Force is aimed at five- to eight-year-olds

ANNECY: French broadcaster TF1 is developing an animated series about ghosts with Miraculous: The Adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir producer Zagtoon.

Ghost Force (52×13′) is being developed by TF1 with Zagtoon in partnership with Japanese toyco Bandai and Paris-based distributor PGS Entertainment.

Aimed at five- to eight-year-olds, the series follows a group of three high-school ghost hunters in Manhattan whose superhero suits allow them to track, fight and catch ghosts.

PGS Entertainment signed a three-year first-look distribution deal with Zagtoon in 2013 and Ghost Force was the first series to come under the agreement.

Zagtoon recently produced Miraculous: The Adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir for TF1 and the action-comedy series has been sold to numerous broadcasters around the world.
