Tencent Video orders kids’ copro from France’s Zodiak, South Korea’s Pingo

CGI animated action-comedy Shasha & Milo

Chinese streamer Tencent Video has ordered a children’s series to be coproduced by Pingo Entertainment in South Korea and Banijay Kids & Family’s label Zodiak Kids & Family France.

Shasha & Milo (26×22’) is a CGI animated action-comedy series that follows 12-year-old twins as they juggle school and home lives with a new secret role as the Crescent Island Guardians.

Imbued with the power to transform between human, cat and a formidable hybrid form, Shasha and Milo are tasked with protecting Crescent Island from the dark forces that lurk beneath it, whilst navigating the daily complexities of pre-teen life.

Banijay Kids & Family’s CEO Benoît di Sabatino and head of content development Gary Milne exec produce with Pingo Entertainment’s CEO Hee Seok Shin. Seul Gee Yoo is creative producer and co-director on the series, with Hyeong Min Kim also co-directing.

Production of the series has commenced. Zodiak Kids & Family Distribution owns international distribution rights.
