Under the terms of the agreement, DirecTV customers will continue to be able to access content from all of TelevisaUnivision’s broadcast and cable networks, such as Univision, UniMás, TUDN and Galavisión.

In addition, the offering now includes TelevisaUnivision’s US properties within its new MiEspañol Genre Pack, which features more than 60 channels showcasing Spanish-language programming.

Both companies say the deal doubles down on their commitment to serving the US Hispanic community.

Mike Angus, exec VP of global distribution and partnerships at TelevisaUnivision, said: “This deal not only ensures our industry-leading content reaches millions of viewers but also solidifies our position as the definitive leader in media among US Hispanics.”

Rob Thun, chief commercial officer of DirecTV, said: “Whether it’s news, live sports, telenovelas and general entertainment, local civic affairs or any of its other key genres, TelevisaUnivision is synonymous with some of the very best in Spanish-language programming.

“We look forward to continuing what has proven an important and mutually beneficial relationship for the next several years.”
