Televisa finds love in the bullring

Mexican broadcast group Televisa is preparing to launch a new telenovela that mixes a love story with bullfighting.

Amor Bravío (Valiant Love) is a soap opera produced by Carlos Moreno and Televisa that will air on Canal de las Estrellas (Channel of the Stars).

It is based on a romance story De Pura Sangre (Of Pure Blood), which is paired with elements of an original bullfighting story Los Quernos del Amor (The Horns of Love) by Martha Carrillo and Cristina Garcia.

The storyline focuses on life on a Mexican farm where bulls are raised and subsequent issues of bullfighting, but also plots a love story about resentment, distrust and revenge. The main characters will be forced to face their fears, their past and overcome a series of obstacles to find love.

About 260 episodes are planned for the soap, which will premiere on Televisa on March 5.
