Telemundo signs up Amaya

NBCUniversal-owned producer Telemundo Global Studios has agreed a multi-project deal with Mexican actor Rafael Amaya.

Under the agreement, Amaya, the star of Telemundo’s franchise Lord of the Skies (El Señor de los Cielos), will act in various Telemundo Global Studios original productions, with his first project slated to air later this year.

Karen Barroeta, exec VP of production and development at Telemundo Global Studios, said: “This deal reaffirms Telemundo’s commitment to working with the best talent in the business and to continue creating ground-breaking original content for Latinos across all platforms.”
