Talpa TV goes Over the Atlantic

Season one of Finland’s Over the Atlantic

Talpa TV in the Netherlands has ordered an adaptation of adventure format Over the Atlantic for its local broadcaster SBS6.

Originally produced by Rabbit Films in Finland for Finnish broadcaster TV5, Over the Atlantic tasks six celebrities with sailing across the Atlantic.

The 7×60’ Dutch version of the format, called Alle Hens ann Dek, is being produced by Vincent TV Producties and will premiere on SBS6 next month.

A Flemish adaptation in Belgium, known as Over de Oceean, is now available on Telenet’s VoD platform and will have its linear premiere on terrestrial broadcaster Vier later this year. This 8×60’ version is produced by Woestijnvis.

Other international adaptations include those in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, while the show has also been optioned in countries including Germany and France.
