The Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) has signed new partnership agreements with Singapore pubcaster Mediacorp and South Korea’s Gyeonggi Content Agency (GCA) to boost international collaboration on cross-border projects.

A memorandum of understanding with Mediacorp will see the two companies work together on a strategy to bring Taiwan and Singapore’s TV and film industries closer together.

The alliance aims to foster professional exchange, support training programmes and raise the bar on the quality of productions from both regions.

Homme Tsai, chairperson, TAICCA, said: “While Taiwan and Singapore share many similarities, at the same time we are able to share our respective strengths in areas such as creative talent and business acumen.

We look forward to taking our partnership to the next level as we embark on more joint projects together.”

Virginia Lim, CCO, Mediacorp, said: “This strengthened collaboration with TAICCA allows us to focus on the development of screenwriting and production by leveraging the diverse talents of both Singapore and Taiwan. It also facilitates the exchange of knowledge and skills, enriching our creative endeavours.”

Meanwhile, TAICCA and GCA also plan to team up on coproductions, market projects and networking events in the future.

Tark Yong Seok, president, GCA, said: “I have recently been to many events overseas and often see the TAICCA logo everywhere. We look forward to working with a powerful government organization like TAICCA.”
