Superprod links with Planeta Junior

Helen’s Little School

European producers Superprod Animation and Planeta Junior have agreed a multi-project deal focusing on kids’ and family programming.

As part of the agreement, Madrid-based Planeta Junior will distribute kids’ series Helen’s Little School (52×11′) in Spain, Portugal, Italy, the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Currently airing on broadcasters including France Télévisions, Discovery Kids in Latin America and Tencent in China, it has been produced by France’s Superprod Animation and Canadian firm Muse Entertainment.

Superights, Superprod’s distribution arm, is handling sales in all other territories and has recently agreed deals with networks such as BeIn in the Middle East, TG4 in Ireland and Truevision in Thailand.

That’s Joey! (52×11′), meanwhile, is based on the comics created by Thierry Coppée and published by Delcourt. It is produced by Superprod Animation and coproduced with Planeta Junior, Digital Graphics in Belgium and Atmosphere Media in Germany. It is in production for French broadcaster M6.

Planeta Junior will distribute the series in Spain, Portugal, Italy, CEE, Greece and Turkey, while in Latin America it will distribute alongside Superights. Atmosphere is handling sales in German-speaking Europe and Superights is handling sales in all other territories worldwide.

The first episodes of That’s Joey! will be presented during next MipJunior in Cannes next month.
