Super Channel in Canada has commissioned a six-part historical series about Nazi scientists from Toronto-based prodco Go Button Media.

Secret Nazi Expeditions (6×60’) is Go Button Media’s second Super Channel commission this year after World War Two series Forgotten Frontlines (6×60′), which Australian pubcaster SBS has boarded as a co-commissioner.

The series unveils the exploits of an elite group of Nazi scientists who travelled the world for over 10 years searching for relics such as the Holy Grail and the origin of the so-called ‘Aryan race.’

The series will form part of a new partnership between Go Button Media and UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights, which came in as a co-financer and will distribute the series.

Go Button Media co-founder Daniel Oron said: “Super Channel has been an incredibly supportive broadcaster to our business this year, so we couldn’t be more pleased to move into production with them on this second history series.

“We are also thrilled to be working with Cineflix Rights for the first time. The team was extremely enthusiastic about this new series from the first conversation and, given Cineflix’s impressive track record and extensive international network, I have every confidence that Secret Nazi Expeditions will soon find a raft of excellent homes across the world.”
