Super Channel buyer to depart

The VP of programming at Super Channel is to depart the Canadian pay TV network later this month.

Melissa Kajpust will leave to pursue other opportunities, the network said in a statement today, after returning to the channel in 2014 following a stint with the National Screen Institute.

During her tenure, Kajpust contributed to the strategic programming direction of all of Super Channel’s rebranded networks – Fuse, Heart & Home, Vault and GINX Esports TV Canada.

She was promoted earlier this year and was responsible for all US and international programme acquisitions for the company, including Mr Mercedes, American Gods, Harlots, Get Shorty, Berlin Station, Deep State and National Treasure.

Kajpust also served as production executive for Super Channel’s Canadian development projects including PURE, Acceptable Risk, Forgive Me and What Would Sal Do?. Her last day with the channel will be December 21.
