Sunny Bunnies rise in Canada

Sunny Bunnies debuted on the Sunny Bunnies YouTube channel

DHX Television in Canada has picked up the first two seasons of Belarusian preschool animated series Sunny Bunnies.

The 52×3’30” series is set to launch this July on DHX’s French- and English-language preschool networks, Family Jr and Télémagino following a deal with distributor Media IM.

Sunny Bunnies is a shortform series aimed at four- to seven-year-olds and follows five beaming balls of light that cause mischief wherever they go.

The show is produced by Digital Light Studio in Belarus and made its debut on the Sunny Bunnies YouTube channel in 2016. It has since been sold to broadcasters around the world, including Disney Channel in the US and Sky Kids in the UK.

More recently, preschool channel Gloobinho in Brazil has taken both seasons of the show from UK-based Media IM.
