Sunny Bunnies rise again on Disney Jr

Disney Junior has picked up the second season of Belarusian toon Sunny Bunnies for its channels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The agreement for the second season (26×3’30”) comes after the Mouse House previously took the first run of the show from UK-based distributor Media IM.

Sunny Bunnies is produced by Belarus’s Digital Light Studio and made its debut on the Sunny Bunnies YouTube channel in 2016.

Disney Junior has also previously licensed the non-dialogue CGI animated comedy for Russia, CIS and Asia Pacific. The latest deal means Disney now airs the series in 156 territories, according to Media IM.

“Our next step is to migrate the Sunny Bunnies from screen to playground via a range of toys and books,” said Irina Nazarenko, co-founder of Media IM.
