Sundance Now, France Télévisions and TVNZ among latest buyers to pick up fantasy series Fallen

Fallen follows two people who believe they have lived multiple lives
Sundance Now in the US, France Télévisions and TVNZ in the New Zealand are among the latest broadcasters and streamers to acquire fantasy drama series Fallen.
From Matt Hastings (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Claudia Bluemhuber (Most Dangerous Game), Fallen is coproduced by Switzerland’s Silver Reel and Night Train Media in Germany for Brazil’s Globoplay, where it premiered last year. It is based on American author Lauren Kate’s novels.
In addition to Sundance Now, France Télévisions and TVNZ, the eight-part series has been picked up by Corus Entertainment’s Showcase and StackTV in Canada, Rai Play in Italy, Sky and ZDFneo in German-speaking Europe, TRT in Turkey for its streaming service Tabii, SVT in Sweden, Finland’s YLE and Cosmote TV in Greece.
Also acquiring the series are evision, the media arm of e&, for its various platforms in the MENA region, BTV in Bulgaria and CineStar TV in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania.
Fallen follows a young woman who has multiple lives and is destined each time to die as soon as she falls in love. When she is committed to a correctional facility for young criminals and outcasts, she meets a man who becomes convinced he has known her before.
As they struggle to uncover the truth about the events that brought them both to the facility, they begin to piece together their pasts – not just from this lifetime, but from countless lifetimes before.
Roland Moore (Humans) and Rachel Paterson (Domina) are the writers of Fallen, which is distributed internationally by Eccho Rights.
