Summer Star exec Jason Behan helps ODMedia set up shop down under

Dutch on-demand content services provider ODMedia has opened an office in Sydney, its first in Australia, headed by industry veteran Jason Behan.

Behan joins ODMedia from Sydney’s Summer Star Creative, which he founded, to provide development, management and distribution services.

Prior to Summer Star Creative, he was VP of acquisitions for Universal Pictures Australia. Before that, Behan managed local acquisitions for prodco Beyond for its international and home entertainment divisions.

ODMedia has strategic partnerships with all the major streamers, providing technology and managing digital rights and cross-promotion along with other areas of its clients’ businesses.

The company acts as an aggregator for the major platforms, providing digital rights management, monetisation and target audience development. It also manages linear and non-linear channel play-out for TVoD/EST, SVoD, AVoD and FAST providers.

So far this year the company has opened offices in Dubai and France to add to its branches in the UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, Benelux, South Africa and Scandinavia.
