NEWS BRIEF: Streamer STV Player in Scotland has picked up Australian thriller series Significant Others in a deal with distributor Fremantle.

Produced by Fremantle Australia, the show was originally broadcast down under by ABC in 2022. The 6×60’ title follows the search for missing mother Sarah (Jacqueline McKenzie), who disappears after going swimming in the ocean, leaving her two teenage children alone and distraught. Significant Others joins STV Player’s library of international content, which includes New Zealand comedy-drama 800 Words and Irish police procedural Red Rock.
