Studio 100 Media backs ABC Oz, France Télévisions’ Vegesaurs

Vegesaurs features vegetable- and fruit-shaped dinosaurs and targets upper preschoolers

Children’s producer and distributor Studio 100 Media has boarded the upcoming action-comedy series Vegesaurs from pubcasters ABC in Australia and France Télévisions.

Produced by Australian prodco Cheeky Little Media, Vegesaurs is a 20×5’ CGI animation that sees vegetable- and fruit-shaped dinosaurs teach relatable themes for upper preschoolers, such as getting to sleep, sharing, friendship, nurturing, mealtimes and play.

Principal production funding is provided by Screen Australia, with Paris-based Studio 100 as co-investor. Based on a concept created by Gary Eck and Nick O’Sullivan, the series is planned for delivery in 2022. ABC will broadcast it in Australia under the title Ginger & the Vegesaurs, while Studio 100 will handle worldwide distribution.
