Johnny Sinclair: Ghost Hunter is based on Jason Dark’s crime novel series

Children’s producer and distributor Studio 100 Media has joined forces with Hamburg-based Youngfilms and B Water Studios in Tenerife on upcoming CGI adventure-comedy series Johnny Sinclair: Ghost Hunter.

Studio 100’s Munich-based studio Isar Animation will take on production of the 52×11’ series, with Studio 100 handling worldwide rights for distribution, licensing and merchandising.

Produced by Henning Windelband and Dirk Hampel, Johnny Sinclair: Ghost Hunter is based on Sabine Städing’s novels and is a spin-off to Jason Dark’s ghost crime novel series and cult franchise John Sinclair: Ghost Hunter.

Production on the series, which is aimed at six- to 11-year-olds, will start at the end of this year with delivery slated for 2024.

It will be presented to the market at Annecy next week, where Studio 100, Youngfilms and B Water will be looking for commissioning broadcasters and presales.
