Streamer Meevee launches YouTube series Raising Questions about kids’ media use

Meevee provides kids with structured viewing sessions

Amsterdam-based children’s media company Meevee has launched a series on YouTube that explores how children aged two to six engage with media.

Developed in collaboration with social scientist and journalist Dr Koen Kusters, Raising Questions is rolling out on YouTube ahead of the launch of Meevee’s kids-focused streaming platform on April 25.

The series offers research-informed perspectives across neuroscience, media and creative disciplines to help families better understand and navigate early childhood screen experiences.

Announced last week, Meevee’s streaming service is designed to curb long screen use and was developed as an alternative to mainstream platforms that rely on autoplay, infinite feeds and algorithmic engagement.

Instead, the platform is designed around structured viewing sessions with clear beginnings and endings, aiming to help children transition away from screens without conflict and emphasising a limited content library that has been thoughtfully curated.

Meevee was co-founded by Mikey Casalaina and D Alcausin.
