Streamer DAZN appoints joint CEOs

Shay Segev

International sports streaming service DAZN has appointed Shay Segev and James Rushton as its co-CEOs.

Segev is joining from sports betting and gaming company Entain while Rushton has been promoted from acting CEO, a role he has held since last June when Simon Denyer stepped down.

Rushton joined the company in 2015 as chief revenue officer and oversaw all market launches and revenue management functions.

DAZN launched as a streaming service in 2016 and is available in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.

John Skipper, DAZN Group’s executive chairman, said: “This is an important moment for DAZN Group as we deepen our leadership team and ready the organisation for its next phase of growth.”

Rushton said: “Having been intimately involved in DAZN since its conception, I am pleased and excited to welcome Shay and lead DAZN Group together as we enter the next exciting chapter in our evolution.”
