Streamer BritBox gets A Taste for Murder thanks to crime procedural from Eagle Eye Drama

UK content streamer BritBox International has greenlit a crime procedural series from ITV Studios-backed prodco Eagle Eye Drama called A Taste for Murder.
Set in Italy, the six-part series centres on a British detective who goes to Capri with his daughter to stay with his Italian in-laws for the summer and becomes involved in murder cases.
Created and written by Matt Baker (Patience, Professor T), A Taste for Murder has begun filming on location in Croatia and later in Italy. The series features classic Italian cuisine as the main ingredient to each episode’s central murder mystery.
Jon Jones (Hotel Portofino, Whitstable Pearl) is directing and Megan Ott (House of the Dragon) is producing. Exec producers for Eagle Eye are chief creative officer Jo McGrath, director of drama Carolina Giammetta and CEO Walter Iuzzolino.
Exec producers for BritBox are Robert Schildhouse, president of North America and general manager of BritBox International, alongside senior commissioning exec for BritBox International Stephen Nye and commissioning exec for BritBox International Jess O’Riordan.
The cast includes Warren Brown (The Responder, Trigger Point), Phyllis Logan (Downton Abbey), Cristiana Dell’Anna (Cabrini, Gomorrah), Beau Gadsdon (The Crown), Urbano Barberini (Casino Royale), Alessandro Fella (Barbarians 2), Gaia Scodellaro (The Equalizer 3) and Alessandro Bedetti (Those About to Die).
A Taste for Murder will premiere on BritBox in the US and Canada. The drama will be distributed internationally by ITV Studios with production service provided by Croatia’s Drugiplan.
