US network Fox has greenlit The Interrogator, a spy drama series written, executive produced by and starring UK actor and comedian Stephen Fry (The Sandman).

Coproduced by Lionsgate Television and Fox Entertainment Studios, the 12-part series sees Fry play a former MI6 agent who works with his elite team to get inside the minds of the world’s most dangerous criminals.

It marks Fry’s return to Fox after his recurring role on the network’s police procedural Bones, in which he played psychiatrist Dr Gordon Wyatt.

The Interrogator is Fox’s latest scripted series pickup, after a re-boot of classic beach drama Baywatch was ordered last September.
