Stephen Fry to star in Financial Times-produced short about AI and dementia

Stephen Fry stars in Recall Me, Maybe

UK broadsheet newspaper The Financial Times has announced short AI-themed film Recall Me, Maybe, starring Stephen Fry (Blackadder) and Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones).

The 1×13’ film is part of the publication’s FT Standpoint strand of drama content and will launch on FT.com and YouTube on September 18.

Written and co-directed by author and comedian David Baddiel (The Mary Whitehouse Experience), it sees Fry play a dementia-stricken grandfather who turns to AI to fill in the gaps in his memory.

The project is the product of editorial and creative workshops between Baddiel and Financial Times journalists Madhu Murgia, John Thornhill and Michael Peel.
