The show focuses on Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora, after he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good. Robert Munic (Vital Signs, Ice) will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series.

Fellow spin-off Power Book II: Ghost, starring Michael Rainey J, Naturi Naughton, Mary J Blige and Cliff Smith, is set to premiere on September 6 at 21.00 before moving to its regular timeslot at 20.00 on Starz in the US and Canada. It will also be available on international streamer StarzPlay.

Meanwhile, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, the prequel story that takes viewers back to the 1990s and the early years of Power character Kanan Stark, is set to resume production this fall for its Starz debut in 2021.

The Power Universe series are executive produced by Power creator and showrunner Kemp through her company End of Episode and through her overall deal with Lionsgate Television, and 50 Cent through his G-Unit Film and Television label.

Also serving as exec producers on the Power Universe series are Mark Canton through Atmosphere Entertainment MM, End of Episode’s Danielle DeJesus, and Chris Selak, Shana Stein and Bart Wenrich.

Starz president of programming Christina Davis said: “Power has been one of the most successful series in premium pay television during its six-year run, garnering more than 10 million multiplatform views in its last two seasons, and we can’t wait to take fans in a whole new direction as we pick up Tommy’s story with Power Book IV: Force.”
