StarTimes takes Genius Brands’ Kartoon Channel! into 47 African countries

Genius Brands International’s digital network Kartoon Channel! has expanded into the African market by launching in South Africa and 46 other countries throughout the sub-Saharan region.

Kartoon Channel! will be available in the 47 countries at the end of this month through an agreement struck with Chinese-owned pay TV operator StarTimes.

StarTimes customers on the basic tier will have access to Kartoon Channel!, featuring Genius Brands’ originals Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten, Rainbow Rangers, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab and Llama Llama.

The channel will also air family-friendly movies at weekends, such as Stan Lee’s Mighty 7, Ella Bella Bingo, Toys & Pets and Boonie Bears.

Also on Kartoon Channel! in Africa, will be recently announced competition reality series and accompanying Roblox game experiences Kidaverse Roblox Rumble. Hosted by former NFL star Rashad Jennings, the series will air as part of a games-branded programming block on weekday afternoons.
