Star Trek: Strange New Worlds renewed for fifth and final season by Paramount+ 

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will end after its fifth season

Paramount+ has ordered a fifth and final season of Star Trek franchise extension Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

The renewal comes ahead of the third season premiere on July 17 on Paramount+ in the US.

The fourth season is currently in production and the final, six-episode season will be filmed later this year.

Strange New Worlds is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment, with Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serving as co-showrunners. The cast for the upcoming third season includes Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun and Martin Quinn.

It is executive produced by Alex Kurtzman, Goldsman, Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Alan McElroy, Robbie Thompson, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Chris Fisher, Anson Mount, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth.

Strange New Worlds is exclusive to Paramount+ in the US, UK, Latin America, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Japan, while it also streams on Paramount+ in Canada. In the Nordics, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Central and Eastern Europe, it streams on SkyShowtime. Paramount Global Content Distribution handles international sales.
