Star China appoints Rodrigue

Star China Media has brought in US formats veteran Michel Rodrigue to handle its international programming projects.

Rodrigue is currently CEO of consulting firm The Format People and was founder of the now-defunct Canadian firm Distraction Formats.

At Star China, he will report to Vivian Yin, chief representative of Star China Media and VP of Starry Productions.

“Star China has rightly earned a reputation as one of the premier format producers, launching the immensely successful programme Sing My Song – the first Chinese original entertainment format to go out to the international marketplace,” said Rodrigue.

Star China’s international team will be at MipTV with a major programming announcement.
