Spotify alum Kevin Lingley named executive vice president of AI at Fremantle

Former Spotify executive Kevin Lingley has been appointed to the position of executive vice president of artificial intelligence (AI) at Fremantle, as the European production group looks to integrate the technology into company operations.

The newly created role is effective immediately and will see him report to Matthew Wilson, chief legal officer.

Lingley is tasked with leading Fremantle’s AI vision and strategy, as well as driving innovation, operational transformation and growth through the “responsible deployment” of AI across the business.

He will help integrate AI into the company’s operations, from production and distribution to commercial activities.

Lingley joins from audio streaming service Spotify, where he served as VP, content platform. Prior to that, he also served as senior engineering leader at Amazon’s Prime Video, and principal engineering leader working on Xbox, TV and music at Microsoft.
