Sports podcast The STV Radio Football Show seals transfer to primetime TV

The STV Radio Football Takeover hosts Ewen Cameron, Ronnie Charters and Callum Bell

Scottish broadcaster STV is creating a television adaptation of its sports podcast series The STV Radio Football Show for STV, streamer STV Player and YouTube.

Set to premiere on July 31, the adaptation, titled The STV Radio Football Takeover, is being produced by STV News and will be hosted by Ewen Cameron, Ronnie Charters and Callum Bell.

Airing on Friday nights, each 30-minute episode will preview all the biggest matches and see the presenters share their opinions on the most dramatic moments of the week.

Since its launch last October, The STV Radio Football Show has amassed over 24 million social media views and also staged a live event at Glasgow’s Òran Mór in May.
