NEWS BRIEF: London-based distributor Sphere Abacus has acquired worldwide rights (excluding the UK) to documentary Delivered to a Predator: Al Fayed’s Fixer, which aired last week on the UK’s Channel 4 as part of its investigative current affairs strand Dispatches.

The 1×47’ film, produced by BriteSpark Film, follows reporter Cathy Newman as she witnesses testimony from victims of former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed who allege that a female former senior employee of the store was instrumental in enabling and covering up their rape and abuse by the billionaire across more than a decade. Newman hears how the woman would recruit young girls inside the retail premises and even out on London’s streets, then deliver them to Al Fayed, who died in 2023.
