Spanish kids’ show The Argonauts & the Golden Coin voyages to Portugal

The Argonauts & the Golden Coin was ordered by Clan TV

Portuguese children’s channel SIC K and public broadcaster RTP2 have acquired Spanish live-action kids’ series The Argonauts & the Golden Coin.

The 20×22’ series, coproduced by Spanish prodco Portocabo and public broadcaster RTVE, was originally commissioned by Spanish kids channel Clan TV, where it aired last June.

Inspired by series like The Famous Five and the movie The Goonies, the show tells the story of a group of young friends enjoying adventures together during a summer in Galicia, Spain.

The sales were announced by Madrid-based brand management company Brands & Rights 360, which is shopping the title globally.

“Content that shows a world where our audiences can recognise themselves; adventures that take place in a small town in Spain but contain the necessary elements to tell a universal story. Stories which show a diverse world, full of values and fun,” said Alfonso Blanco, executive producer and creator, describing the series.
