Unveiled as MipTV got underway in Cannes, Secuoya Studios Commercial and Distribution will be the commercial arm for audiovisual projects from all the studio’s divisions.

Pizzolante will be president and also a minority shareholder in the new company, which will have its headquarters in Miami and staff and operations offices in Mexico, Madrid and Los Angeles. Further international expansion is planned, including operations in the main European markets.

The operations and business plan will be directed and coordinated with the general manager of the studio in Madrid and with James Costos, president of Secuoya Studios.

Pizzolante is the former executive VP of E! Networks Latin America and Brazil and former VP and general manager of Sony Pictures Networks Latin America and Brazil. Between 1997 and 2015, Pizzolante was part of HBO Latin America Group, OLE Communications and Sony Pictures Networks Latin America and Brazil.

In 2016, the executive formed CTMOBS, a company focused on connecting content, talent, IP and strategic partners in the development, production and distribution of IP with Latin DNA.

“I am delighted to welcome Sergio Pizzolante as head of Secuoya Studios Commercial and Distribution. There is no one better qualified to be responsible for delivering our content to the global market, backed by his great professional background,” said Costos.

“Over the past few years, we have committed to building a corporate leadership team comprising top financial and business affairs executives, a professional international services studio and the talented unscripted, fiction and film creative and development teams.”
