Spain’s RTVE starts work on adapting TRT1 quiz format Joker as El Comodín

TRT1’s Joker has been adapted across Europe

Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has begun production on El Comodín, a local version of Global Agency’s Turkish quizshow Joker.

Joker aired on TRT1 in Turkey and has been adapted in countries including Portugal (RTP1), France (France 2), Poland (Polsat) and Slovenia (TV SLO1).

El Comodín is being produced by Lavinia, which is looking for participants.

On the show, a single contestant with no opponents must answer 15 questions correctly to win a grand prize. Along the way there are nine difficulty levels, nine prizes and nine wild cards.

In related news, RTVE has cancelled Te Ha Tocado, Gestmusic’s adaptation of the French gameshow format Chacun Son Tour, from Banijay Rights. The show is currently broadcast daily at 19.30 on RTVE’s La 1.
