Spain’s Onza adds Pozzoli to grow fiction

Spanish producer-distributor Onza has hired Valentina Pozzoli as head of content development and international coproductions.

With more than 10 years of industry experience, Pozzoli arrives at the Spanish company from Italian prodco Lux Vide where she was head of feature films. She has lived in Rome, Milan, Madrid and LA where she worked for local producer Hero Pictures.

Pozzoli said: “I’m excited to start this new chapter. I’m passionate about driving new and diverse talent, and above all telling relevant stories. The Onza team is the perfect place for that.”

CEO of Onza, Gonzalo Sagardia, added: “Valentina’s hiring consolidates our fiction division which we hope to grow in coming years. Onza’s model is making inroads in the writer’s community of Spain and Latin America, and Valentina’s huge experience will be very helpful for all those involved in her creative process.”

Onza, known for dramas such as TVE’s Little Coincidences and Amazon Prime’s Department of Time, opened a US Hispanic and Latin American subsidiary in Miami in January.
