Spain, Finland can see Korea’s voice

I Can See Your Voice comes from CJ ENM

Antena 3 in Spain and Nelonen in Finland have become the latest two European broadcasters to commission local versions of South Korean format I Can See Your Voice.

Atresmedia and Warner Bros International Television Production Spain are adapting the property for Antena 3, which also airs the local version of fellow Korean singing format The Masked Singer.

Nelonen’s version of the show will be produced by Warner Bros International Television Production Finland.

The format originated on CJ ENM in South Korea and sees a team of two players try to win a cash prize by guessing who among a group of people can and can’t sing. The players are helped by a panel of celebrities who are joined each week by a different pop star.

The performers take on lip-sync challenges as the players whittle down the group to one person, who then performs a duet with the pop star guest.

Distributed globally by Fremantle, the format is currently on air in the US on Fox and is in production in the Netherlands for RTL4, with other versions in the works. Today’s news follows a recent similar deal with Russia-1.
