Smithsonian Channel, Blue Ant Media stock up on factual content from Beyond Rights

Docuseries Elizabeth

The Smithsonian Channel and Blue Ant Media are among North American broadcasters to have acquired more than 650 hours of unscripted content from Beyond Rights.

Docuseries Elizabeth (8×60’), about Queen Elizabeth II’s seven-decade rule, has been bought by the Smithsonian Channel, while Blue Ant has picked up 200 hours and 100 hours of crime content for its Canadian and US crime-focused FAST channels respectively.

In addition, deals have been secured with Blue Ant Media for seasons of engineering titles Massive Engineering Mistakes and Abandoned Engineering for its Cottage Life channel, and lifestyle titles All for One with Debbie Travis (6×30’), Building La Dolce Vita (10×60’), Moving the McGillivrays (7×60’), Love It or List It: Brilliant Builds (12×60’), Love It or List It UK and Love It or List It Australia.

Elsewhere, The Weather Channel has acquired Lords of the Ocean, season 10 of Highway Thru Hell and season six of Heavy Rescue, while streamer EarthxTV has picked up Aussie Snake Wranglers, fact ent series Saved and Remade and season four of Money for Nothing.

Finally, BYU in the US has picked up season three of Gym Stars (20×30’), a youth-skewing reality series that follows the ups and downs of life for some of the UK’s most promising gymnasts.
