SkyShowtime – the joint-venture pan-European streamer from Paramount, NBCUniversal and Sky Studios – is present in over 20 territories, drawing on the combined catalogues of its US parents.

But the company, which has been in the marketplace since September 2022, is also investing in local originals and acquisitions, and chief content officer Kai Finke was among the keynote speakers at C21’s Content Warsaw last week, spelling out the programming strategy.

Finke teed up new Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace drama Landman, the latest adaptation of Frederick Forsyth novel The Day of the Jackal, and documentaries about former heavyweight boxing champion Vitali Klitschko – now mayor of Kyiv – and his brother Wladimir, plus another on former Denmark and Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.

He also announced a new original Polish drama based on a novel by bestselling author Remigiusz Mróz. Finke spoke with Hayley McKenzie.
