SkyShowtime basks Where the Sun Always Shines with dark Swedish dramedy

Pan-European streamer SkyShowtime has commissioned new original series Where the Sun Always Shines, a dark Swedish dramedy created by writer and actor Felix Herngren (Sunny Side).

The six-part series is produced by Stockholm-based prodco FLX, with SkyShowtime and Swedish broadcaster SVT serving as coproducers.

Where the Sun Always Shines follows successful couple Tom (Per Lasson) and Petra (Lisa Linnertorp), whose dream of an idyllic early retirement in Spain is ruined by the chaotic events of Tom’s 50^th birthday.

Filmed on location in Mallorca, the series is scheduled to stream on SkyShowtime later this year.
