NEWS BRIEF: Apple TV+ in the US has ordered a three-part documentary series about the University of Connecticut (UConn) women’s basketball team, produced by the sports content division of Skydance Media.

Spanning 40 years of the team’s dynasty under Hall of Fame head coach Geno Auriemma, the as-yet-untitled series is being made by Skydance Sports and executive produced by Learfield Studios and Brillstein Creative Partners. Matthew Hamachek (The Dynasty: New England Patriots) and Erica Sashin (Harry & Meghan) are directing.
