Sky Living adds Unforgettable

UK diginet Sky Living has grown its slate of US dramas after picking up local rights to Sony Pictures Television’s police procedural Unforgettable.

The series, which airs on US network CBS, is about a New York detective who suffers from hyperthymesia, a real condition that gives her the ability to remember every single moment in her life.

It is due to air on Living in early 2012.

Unforgettable was co-created by Ed Redlich (Without A Trace) and John Rellucci (Revolution) and is based on J Robert Lennon’s short story The Rememberer.

The show, a co-production from CBS Television Studios and SPT, is exec-produced by Redlich, Rellucci, Carl Beverly (Justified) and Sarah Timberman (Justified).

Other shows currently on Living include The Secret Circle and Ringer, which both air on US network The CW.

Jane Johnson, director of BSkyB-owned Sky Living, said of the new show: “It’s a gripping and action-packed drama which is also emotionally intelligent and has a compelling central character.”

Unforgettable has already been sold into more than 110 countries.

Meanwhile, Living’s sister network Sky Atlantic has picked up UK rights to Smash (15×60’) from NBCUniversal International Television Distribution.
