2D-animated edutainment series The Singalings

Sky Kids in the UK has commissioned an animated musical preschool series, with Jetpack Distribution picking up the worldwide rights outside of the UK.

From London-based Snipple Originals, the original content arm of Filipino studio Snipple Animation, The Singalings (26×5’) is a 2D-animated edutainment series that centres on three inquisitive and eager extra-terrestrials who are here to discover all they can about Earth.

Each episode kicks off with a song and features sing-a-longs with every adventure the extra-terrestrials go on, whether it’s a visit to the zoo or a ride on the bus.

The Singalings will premiere on Sky Kids later this year and Jetpack Distribution will be presenting it to international buyers at Kidscreen later this month.

Snipple Originals launched in 2020 backed by a £6m (US$7.4m) investment from BGF, a venture capital firm in the UK and Ireland. It is led by award-winning producer Karina Stanford-Smith, who described The Singalings as “a fun show with a modern preschool audience in mind; and entertains as well as teaches.”
