Sky Italia readies Romulus S2

Romulus is filmed in Rome

NEWS BRIEF: Sky Italia has commissioned a second season of epic period drama Romulus from ITV Studios-backed Italian prodco Cattleya, which previously made Gomorrah for the pay TV broadcaster.

The eight-episode second run of the Latin-language drama, set during the foundation of Rome, will be produced by Sky, Cattleya and director Matteo Rovere’s Groenlandia prodco. Filming will start in Rome in May, with Michele Alhaique and Enrico Maria Artale also attached to direct.
