Sky Italia presses Panic Button

Sky Italia has acquired rights to produce a local version of the gameshow Panic Button as part of a raft of international sales from Entertainment One Television (eOne).

Sky has taken free- and pay-TV rights for the format, in which contestants brave a haunted house without pushing a button that will allow them to escape. The show was originally produced by Essential 11 Television for US cable channel TruTV.

Meanwhile Discovery Channel in Italy has picked up free TV rights to comedy reality series Scrappers, wartime docudrama Storming Juno and feature documentary Dieppe Uncovered.

Germany’s Spiegel TV has also secured the pay TV rights for the WW2 show along with 28 Heroes, which explores the Korean War.
