Sky History orders second season of CIC Media’s Secret Wars Uncovered

Secret Wars Uncovered is distributed by Passion Distribution

A+E Networks and Sky’s joint-venture channel Sky History has ordered more episodes of Secret Wars Uncovered from London- and Miami-based CIC Media.

CIC has also begun production in England, the US and Panama on the 10-episode second season of the show for Sky History in the UK and Ireland, with two versions being made in English and Spanish.

The second season will expose covert operations and secret missions from World War Two onward, including the Russo-Georgian War, the decade-long Anglo-American intervention in Afghanistan, the ongoing conflict in Syria and the Greek Wars of Independence.

The first season of Secret Wars Uncovered is being distributed internationally by Passion Distribution, while the new episodes have been pre-sold to an as-yet-undisclosed streamer, CIC said.

It comes after The Weather Channel recently began airing CIC Media-produced travel series Uncharted Adventure. The eight-episode series is hosted by traveller and adventurer Mike Corey, who goes on adrenaline-filled journeys showcasing incredible scenery.

CIC Media has also been behind Deadly Disasters for the BBC, Timeline of the Century for A&E International and Cineflix, Disruptive Nature for Off the Fence and Race to Victory for Sky History, The History Channel in the US and Beyond.
