Sky fires starting pistol for doc on athlete Daley Thompson

Daley will make its debut on Sky Documentaries and Now in July

NEWS BRIEF: Sky Documentaries in the UK has commissioned a feature doc about the life of British double Olympic decathlon champion Daley Thompson.

Daley (working title) will premiere on Sky Documentaries and streamer Now in July, in time for the 2024 Olympics and 40th anniversary of Daley’s second gold medal. The film will chronicle Daley’s sporting achievements while shining a light on issues impacting sport at the time, including racism, drugs, commercialisation and global politics. The Mob Film Company is producing the film, with Vadim Jean directing and producing. Charlie Skinner, Stewart Binns and Ian Sharples is also producing and Abacus Media Rights will handle distribution.
