Sky Arts picks up Terranoa biopic trio

Terranoa’s Josephine Baker – The Story of an Awakening

MIPTV: Sky Arts in the UK has acquired biopics about author Salman Rushdie, actor Josephine Baker and Sherlock Holmes creator Arthur Conan Doyle.

The UK pay TV channel has added Salman Rushdie – Death on a Trail, Josephine Baker – The Story of an Awakening and Sherlock Holmes Against Conan Doyle to its slate after striking deals with French distributor Terranoa.

The sales outfit has also sold travel series Japan From Above to Rai 3 in Italy and Europe’s Most Famous Railway Stations to Vivicast Media for broadcast on Direct TV in the US.

RTSI in Switzerland has acquired a 40-hour package including Cooking The World and Show Me Where You Live from Terranoa, which has also launched a 4K travel shows here in Cannes.

Top of the Rocks – A Journey Made of Stone (5×52’) is produced by Petit Dragon for Arte and offers a 360° exploration across the globe of five iconic rocks (limestone, basalt, granite, clay and sandstone) which have shaped our landscape and inspired our cultures.

North American and Asian coproduction partners are being sought along with European pre-buy partners.
